RE: Drainage Certification for Lot 55, Swift Addition to Fossil Lake P.U.D., City of Fort
Collins, County of Larimer, State of Colorado (aka 3626 Rocky Stream Drive).
Dear Sirs:
On July 19, 2005, we observed the site located at 3626 Rocky Stream Drive. The site had been
final graded. In addition to our observation, Absolute Surveying obtained spot elevations at
numerous spots throughout the site. Please refer to the attached elevation sheet.
Based on our observation and the attached survey information, the site appeared to drain away
from the building except for a flat area located northwest of the garage that may have issues with
draining away from the house and garage. In general, the southwest side of the house drains
westerly to the small Swale between the two houses, then drains to the south into the curb and
gutter on Rocky Stream Drive. The northeast side of the house drains easterly to the curb and
gutter on Shallow Pond Drive. The southeast side of the house drains southerly to the curb and
gutter on Rocky Stream Drive. As for the northwest side of the house, there is a high point
located near the northwest comer of the house. Another high point is located at the west comer
of the property line. These high points create a small ridge, which allows the water to flow from
the ridge southwest and northeast, as the design contours show.
The top of foundation elevation is 87.80 feet via the plans and the finished floor main elevation
is 88.80 feet per the grading certificate provided by Absolute Surveying, Inc. Based on the
southwest property corner, all lot corners are within 0.3 feet of design elevation, assuming the
southwest property corner has a design elevation of 84.40 feet and assuming the northeast and
northwest surveyed spot elevations are similar to the designed property corners.
The site generally appears to conform to the Drainage Exhibit — Sheet 9 of 56 — of Swift
Addition to Fossil Lake P.U.D. — prepared by Northern Engineering Services, Inc., dated
1/10/03. Also, the site generally appears to conform to the Final Grading Plan — Sheet 18 of 56 —

Our certifications were based on our observation on the date noted above. The geotechnical
report was not provided to us for this site. We therefore cannot determine if the site has been
graded according to the geotechnical report.
