Dear Glen,
The following is the certification of the drainage facilities for Fox Hills Second Filing. The
facilities include three detention ponds and several drainage swales and a large amount of erosion
control. The following is a description of the work that has been completed.
Detention Pond "A" is on the North side of Wessex Drive adjacent to Taft Canyon. Pond
"A" had a required volume of 1.36 acre feet and the "As Built" volume dated Nov. 17, 1997 was
1.37 acre feet. From the MODSWMM, it was determined to raise the spillway from elevation
5138.00 to 5138.70. The spillway has been raised to 5138.70 and the top of the berm on the East
side of the pond has been raised to 5139.70. The volume of the expanded pond is 1.7 acre feet.
The pond has been completed, including the two foot concrete pan in the bottom of the pond.
Pond "A" has not been re -seeded since the regrading was just completed.
Detention Pond 'B" is on the South side of Wessex Drive adjacent to Taft Canyon. Pond
"B" had a required volume of 1.01 acre feet and the "As Built" volume dated Nov. 17, 1997 was
1.20 acre feet. From the MODSWMM, it was determined to raise the spillway from 5138.00 to
5138.20. The spillway has been raised to 5138.20 and the top of the berm on the East side of the
pond has been raised to 5139.20. The volume of the expanded pond is 1.27 acre feet. The pond,
has been completed including the two foot concrete pan in the bottom of the pond. The re-
seeding has been completed for Pond 'B".
The outlet structure and outlet pipes for both ponds have been reconstructed. The outfall
is now all in pipes down to the new concrete box on the East side of Idledale Drive. The channel
from Idledale Drive to the open space has been graded. The tie walls on each side of the channel
have not been completed at this date.
All of the erosion control in the swales and ravines has been completed. The rip rap with
Mirifi filter cloth has been completed. All of the swales have been re -seeded with Greenfix Mat.
The plant material was watered and has become an excellent ground cover.
Pond "D" is located at the Southeast comer of the intersection of County Road 38-E and
Red Fox Road. It also has been completed including the re -seeding, the concrete pan and the
headwall and restriction plate.

The "As Built" survey of Ponds "A" and "B" and the red lined "As Built" elevations of the
swales are enclosed.
The only task that has not been completed on the site is the re -seeding of Pond "A". It
will be done as soon as possible in the fall. The tie wall on the off -site channel will be completed
within two weeks. The off -site construction is a large benefit to the Idledale Drive/Wessex Drive
intersection in the 100 year storm.
Steve Sivon would like very much to be able to obtain a building permit for a lot in Fox
Hills Second Filing. Is it possible to release the permit for that lot since they have completed all
of the on -site and the extra off -site construction except for the re -seeding of Pond "A" and the tie
walls?
