RE: Drainage Certification for Lot 8, Block 4, Fossil Lake P.U.D., Second Filing, City of Fort
Collins, County of Larimer, State of Colorado (aka 5714 Falling Water Drive).
Dear Sirs:
On March 21, 2007, we observed the site at 5714 Falling Water Drive. The site had been final
graded. In addition to our observation, Carroll & Lange Inc. obtained spot elevations at
numerous spots throughout the site. Please refer to the attached elevation sheet.
Based on our observation and the attached surveyed information, the site appeared to drain away
from the building. The northern side of the lot drains westerly to the curb and gutter in Falling
Water Drive. The area northeast of the building drains westerly into a drainage swale between
this lot and the adjacent lot (Lot 7) which drains to Falling Water Drive.. The southeast side of
the lot (the back yard) per the grading plan should have a high point near the southeast corner of
the building, but the high point appears to be located closer to the midpoint of the back yard.
There is a swale between this lot and the adjacent lot (Lot 9).
The Top of Foundation elevation given by Carroll & Lange Inc. is 15.3 feet. The design
elevation of the top of foundation was given as 15.3 feet.
The site does not appears to conform to the Grading and Erosion Control Plan — Sheet 9 of 58 —
of Fossil Lake P.U.D., Second Filing — prepared by Northern Engineering Services, Inc., dated
4/30/01, because of the change in the high point. The site generally appears to conform to the
Drainage Plan — Sheet 15 of 58 —of Fossil Lake P.U.D., Second Filing — prepared by Northern
Engineering Services, Inc., dated 4/30/01.
Our certifications were based on our observation on the date noted above. The geotechnical
report was not provided to us for this site. We therefore cannot determine if the site has been
graded according to the geotechnical report.
