RE: Fossil Lake PUD Second Filing-- Phase 3 and 4
Drainage Certification
Dear Jay:
STORMWATER
RECEIVED
NOV 19 2004
We have completed our review of the as -constructed major drainage improvements for the above referenced
project as it relates to the approved final construction plan design. This certification is intended to verify
compliance of the constructed major drainage improvements for the approved construction plans entitled "Fossil
Lake PUD Second Filing".
Field surveys of the site were conducted by King Surveyors in October and November of 2004 and have
been used to verify general conformance to the Plans. The project engineer conducted a site visit on November 5,
2004 to verify grading and major drainage improvements. Based on the survey data provided by King Surveyors
and personal site inspection, we believe that all major drainage improvements have been constructed in general
compliance with the design with exception to the 10-foot sidewalk culvert on Long Creek Drive and the 5-foot
sidewalk chase just north of Lots 6 and 7 of Block 9. These items have not yet been completed because sidewalks
have not yet been laid. The sidewalks will be completed in the near future and the sidewalk chase and culvert will be
finished with this construction. We will certify the 10-foot sidewalk culvert and 5-foot sidewalk chase upon their
completion.
The volume for Water Quality Pond I was calculated from the topography provided by King Surveyors.
The design volume for Pond 1 was 0.49 acre-feet. The as -built pond achieves the required 0.49 acre-feet of storage
at water surface elevation 4891.32. With the top of the pond at elevation 4893.0, there is 1.7-feet of freeboard.
Thus, we conclude that Water Quality Pond I will perform adequately with the design intent.
There are minor inconsistencies throughout the site; however, the performance of the drainage design, in my
opinion, will not be hindered. To the best of my knowledge the major drainage improvements, apart from the
sidewalk chase and sidewalk culvert listed above, for Fossil Lake PUD Second Filing - Phase 3 and 4 are
constructed in substantial compliance with the design intent of the approved construction drawings. If you require
additional information or analysis regarding this project please contact me at 221-4158 ext.106.

Drainage Certification — Punch List of Items To Be Completed
Dear Jay:
The following is a list of items that have not yet been completed for Fossil Lake PUD Second
Filing - Phase 3 and 4:
• The 10-foot sidewalk culvert on the north side of Long Creek Drive labeled "Inlet 10" on
the plans
• The 5-foot sidewalk chase just north of "Inlet 10"
We will certify these items as soon as they are constructed (anticipated within the next 2 weeks).
