College Ave. Owner - Ron Rockvam Builder - Randy King Construction On November 3, 1998, we checked the "As Built" building, curbs, pavement and drainage facilities at the site. The pavement was found to be not in conformance with the approved plan. The vee drain has not been constructed in the driveway so that site runoff is not directed to the detention pond but runs off the south edge of the pavement. Also, the inlet grate in the detention pond is constructed 0.86 feet too high, and therefore there is not enough detention volume in the pond. After discussions, it was decided to build an earthen berm along the south side of the asphalt drive to direct the runoff to the detention pond and to extend this earthen berm around the asphalt ponding area to a height necessary to provide the required volume in the pond. The berm has been constructed and we have surveyed the "As Built" elevations of its top. These elevations are shown in red on the attached print, along with "As Built" elevations of the building floors, curbs and pavement. The new high water line elevation of the detention pond, with the raised berm is 4997.75. This provides the necessary volume and is more than one foot below the lowest floor elevation of 4999.0.
