February 8, 1995 Glen Schleuter City of Fort Collins Stormwater Utility 235 Mathews Fort Collins, CO. 80522 RE: Drainage Certification East Drake Terrace P.U.D. Project Number: 9511.00 Dear Glen: We have completed our review of the as -built drainage and grading at the above referenced project. This partial drainage certification is applicable to Building E and, will be the first of several in order for our client to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy for each building on an individual basis. There are three (3) drainage related issues to be certified in association with this project which include: 1.) Verification of flowline elevations and grades in the parking areas and, location of high points in the drive entrances, 2.) Verification of finished grading of swales surrounding the proposed buildings, 3.) Confirmation of the discharge location of downspouts on Buildings B, C and D, Field survey information of as -built conditions was obtained by Landstar Surveying, and was used to verify item 1.) above. Future verification of Item 2.) will also be obtained from Landstar. 420 S. Howes • Suite 202 • Fort Collins, Colorado 80521 • (303) 221-4158 • Fax (303) 221-4159 East Drake Terrace P.U.D. February 8, 1995 Partial Drainage Certification Page 2 A field inspection of the drainage appurtenances was conducted on Wednesday February , 1 1995 by the project engineer. The following is synopsis of the observations made during this field visit. 1) Two buildings were under construction at the time, Buildings E and B (See attached Plan), 2) Finished grading of the site had not been completed, which is understandable because the remaining buildings are yet to be constructed, 3) It was observed that the downspouts on the two buildings under construction had not been installed therefore, location of downspouts could not be confirmed, 4) High points in the drive entrances were verified visually, confirming field survey information, This letter serves to certify only Item 1.) on page 1 (parking lot grades), with Items 2.) and 3.) to be certified at a later date, upon completion of the proposed buildings. Building E is not associated with the requirements of Items 2.) and 3.). The following is a breakdown of the remaining work to be completed by item number from Page 1 of this letter: 1.) 100% 0 0 0 2.) 0 100% $175 / bldg 1225.00 3.) 0 100% $50 / bldg 150.00 TOTAL 1375.00 TOTAL AMOUNT IN ESCROW 2062.50 The total amount in escrow is determined by increasing the total cost remaining, by 1.5 times, to obtain an amount to be retained in escrow by the City of Fort Collins Stormwater Utility. Future certifications will gradually reduce this amount. V East Drake Terrace P.U.D. Partial Drainage Certification February 8, 1995 Page 3 To the best of my knowledge, belief, and opinion, the drainage facilities were constructed in accordance with the design intent of the approved drainage report and construction drawings.
