Dear Mr. Barber:
On behalf of our client, Mr. Dean Dahlberg, we would like to submit to you a lot grading
certification letter for Lot 4, Block 10 of the Fossil Lake P.U.D. First Filing project. This lot
was constructed with a two-story, stone & wood, single-family residence with a walkout
basement. Northern Engineering has reviewed the as -constructed elevations provided by a field
survey crew.
The residence on Lot 4 was constructed with a finished floor elevation of 4905.70 and a
minimum opening elevation (MOE) of 4895.60. The proposed minimum top of foundation
elevation for this lot was 4904.5. While the Engineer does not have knowledge of the
constructed difference between finished floor and top of foundation, it is safe to assume that the
actual top of foundation is at or above the approved elevation. Attached for your convenience
are copies of the approved grading plan, detention information, and a copy of the Improvement
Location Certificate showing the as -constructed elevations (handwritten) for Lot 4.
Based on the surveyed grades, the lot appears to be in compliance with the approved grading
plan. Sufficient fall exists away from the building to provide proper drainage. The high points
on the side lot lines make the lot function as a `B' lot per plan. Lot 4 is west of Detention Pond
2. The designed 100-year water surface of this pond is 4890.84. Therefore, there is
approximately 4.76-fi of freeboard from the pond's high water line to the MOE of Lot 4.

ENGINEER'S STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE:
This certification is signed and stamped by a professional engineer registered in the State of
Colorado. By signing this certification the engineer attests that to the best of his knowledge
the surveyed grading as shown in the enclosed certification is in compliance with the
approved grading plan for t his lot and subdivision as shown on the approved final utility
plans.
