The detention pond punch list items outlined in the memo to you dated December 17, 2004 have been competed. The drainage and grading plan call for a water quality outlet structure (per details sheet 4 and 9 of the construction drawings) to be constructed at the existing 15-inch RCP outfall of the detention pond. The outlet structure has been constructed according to plan and the required water quality orifice plate has been installed. The size, number, and location of the water quality drain holes matoh the design. Since the plans did not call for the volume of the eAating detention pond to be Increased and no grading was done to the pond, the pond volume was not verified. The punch Iist also called for the berm elevation of the detention pond to be raised to the elevation of 4937A to meet freeboard requirements. The as-buift spot elevations compare closely with the design with the largest different being 0.1 foot except In the location of the church sign. Spot elevations were taken inside the planting area around the church algn that are 0.46 feet lower than the proposed berm elevation. However, it was veriried there is a wnerete landscape border around the planting area that appears to be the same elevation as the top of the surrounding berm. This drainage oertriication is for the detention pond Improvements only. Drainage patterns around the building wars not evaluated by Ayres Associates. The Contractor has constructed the detention pond improvemenfa according to the approved grading and drainage plan. If you have any questions, please call. At this point in the process, we are not able to certify the drainage Improvements tor -the site, as there are several items still incomplete at this time. It appears that the grading around the building has been completed satisfactorily, however, survey points were not provided to verify this. Survey points were provided in the detention pond area, but not all facilities appear to have been constructed. The following is a punch list of Items for completion: • Survey finished floor elevations, ground adjacent to building and away from the building to prove that there is positive drainage away from the structure. • Survey of the field inlets and storm drain pipe, where possible, to verify substantial conformance with design. • Construction of water quality outlet structure for the detention pond (per details on sheets 4 and 9 of the construction drawings). • Raise detention pond berm to elevation 4937.40 to provide adequate freeboard (existing is 4936.94 near the church sign). When these Items are completed, Ayres Associates will be happy to complete a proper drainage certification letter for the site.
