RE: Chesterfield, Bottomsley and Potts Drainage
Dear Glen:
Ram International, owners of Chesterfield, Bottomsley and Potts are
building a new concrete patio addition on the North side of their existing
building at 1415 West Elizabeth Street, Fort Collins, Colorado.
The new patio will increase the existing amount of runoff. To handle
the additional runoff we designed a detention pond to the North of the new
patio. The capacity of the pond in 202 cubic feet which is larger than the
required detention of 76.9 cubic feet. The water will be released into the
existing 12" storm drain at the historic rate of 0.02 c.f.s. The patio floor
will be sloped to flow the water into the pond. Some water may flow off
the patio not going to the pond.
