the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, has been inspected by me or an appropriately qualified professional under my
direct supervision, and verify that construction of all stormwater facilities and grading is complete, and that the
elevations and drainage patterns shown on the attached drawing(s) which were developed from a survey performed
on November 18, 2013, accurately and truly depict the elevations and drainage patterns as they existed on the date of
the survey. Based on this information, I certify that (check one):
0 The elevations and drainage patterns of the lot/site are in substantial conformance with the City approved
drainage and grading plan for the property.
X The elevations and drainage patterns of the-lot/site as measured are in general conformance with the City
approved drainage plan with exception of the west and north side of the lot. Please see attached grading
exhibit for elevation corrections in order to maintain a one percent grade along the lot lines. Once
corrected, the elevations and grading of the lot/site as constructed will be functionally adequate and
equivalent to the specifically approved drainage plan, and will affect stormwater drainage on and off the
lot/site in a manner consistent with the approved drainage plan.

Glen (and Dan),
We previously approved Lot 18's grade cert on 12/17 by requiring a Type A Swale at the back of the lot with a berm
between lots at the shared property line with Lot 17 to the west. However, this is going to make it difficult for Lot 17 to
drain in the future since it is the side of the lot and the garage setback will give only have 5' to put in a swale. The
garage would be abnormally high compared to the rest of the house since the FF is about 10" lower.
We would like to request that the grading cert as attached be approved instead with the swale at the shared property
line instead of a berm there. That way Lot 17 won't drain into Lot 18's swale in the future. There is a berm shown on
the subdivision grading plans, thus the request for approval. The berm is there for Lots 19 and 10 already so there will
not be a problem draining these lots in the future.

Dan,
That is correct. Anything in black(including the handwritten black writing) is asbuilt from the surveyor. When a slope
does not meet requirements, the black elevation is circled in red, and then rewritten in red and double underlined as
what it needs to be.
I will start emailing them directly to you and just copy everyone else. It does make more sense to send them right to you
and cut out the middle man.

Hey Michael,
Thanks for getting this over to me, having it in color definitely helps understand what is being shown. Just to verify..
where I see a spot elevation written in black, that is the as -built elevation, and if it is circled in red, that elevation was
changed in order to meet slope and the elevation that it was corrected to is written in red and underlined twice - ie. in
the backyard swale, what was originally shot at 36.59 was regraded down to 35.84 to increase the slope so 35.84 is the
actual finished elevation. Please let me know if this is correct.
Assuming I am correct on this, that will help me out in looking at any of these I get from you in the future. Speaking of
which, from talking to Cody yesterday, it sounds like these documents go to several people and Dave brings in the
printed copy. If you'd like, you can just email these in directly to me which will save time and effort as well as get me
the color copy.

Attached is the grade cert for 503 Walhalla, as requested.
As for our color coding; all asbuilt slopes are calculated in green. If the slope doesn't meet the requirement, it is circled
in red. The corrected spot elevations and slopes are written in red as well. Any other changes such as a designed swale
or berm will also be in red. Let me know if you have any questions.
