Jake/Bob,
Attached is the pond certification for OCR. Thank you for taking care of the spillway, it looks solid now.
Regarding the additional inlet and pipe: I see no reason why the City would be concerned about what you are
proposing, but I don’t speak for them. TST has no problem with you building it, and we can provide as‐built when it is
complete.
I would recommend that you reconsider the location of the inlet and suggest moving it to the front of the island to keep
it away from the sanitary manhole (see attached sketch). The City’s required separation is 10’.
Please let me know if there are any questions or something else you need.
Have a nice weekend,

John,
The work is completed. Bob went out and confirmed elevations so that we should be good this time. We have place seed
under the mats and will be completing landscape once we know that we are tearing anything apart again. The landscape
shouldn’t hold us up because we have a bond in place for the city on the landscaping. If you have any questions or
concerns, please contact Bob Thayer our site superintendent. He would also like to know when the guys will be
scheduled so that he can check‐in with them. Bob’s number is 303‐710‐1940.
Thanks,
Jake

Jake,
I cannot sign off the work that was completed. That weir is the only outlet for the rain garden/ pond, meaning that any
time there is a significant storm event, water will be flowing over it. It needs to be a permanent feature. The work that
was done to the berm was basically to loosely shovel a little bit of dirt on the berm without any compaction effort and
then a new blanket was laid on top. It would probably wash away with even a small rain. There is also no evidence of
any attempt to revegetate the disturbed soil. See attached pictures.
The weir for the pond needs to be a compacted, uniform weir with smooth sides and top. The fabric needs to make
close contact with the soil and must be stapled per the manufacturers standards. Before the fabric is put down, the dirt
needs to be seeded so that it will eventually be vegetated. The fabric should cover all of the weir, front, top, back and
sides. It should be flat, tight, and smooth. Additionally, it does not appear that any seeding has been placed in the sand
/peat mix in the pond.
Please address these concerns and let me know when there is a permanent berm in place for certification.
Regards,
John

John,
We were able to fix the retention pond over at OCR last week. Bob believes that we are ready for your certification
again. Can you please let me know if you need anything else and when you can get out to certify the pond and complete
the paperwork for the city? I would like to review your package with Will Welch prior to us submitting to the city.
Thanks,
JAKE coutts
