Dear Sirs: On September 4, 2002, we observed the site located at Big Norn Village 11. We observed the site during a warm partly sunny day. Our observatiom were limited to those items that was not properly installed at out August 16,2002 site visit: Please refer to ourAugust 16,2002 certification letter. The following underlined items were deficient at our August 16dobservation. Detention.Pond A: The Water Quafity Plate wasmo6natalled vtoperly. — We observed the orifice platetoday and it appeared to be installed as designed. Also, a trash rack has been added, Detention Pond B- e The Orifice the �pipe _illlireyy nsstrictina the --flow even more. Today we obs.oved that the orifice opening has been- cleaned out and the orificeplatewas adjusted. However, the bottom of the orifice opening is still slightly below the invert of the -outlet pipe. With the cleaner opening, we believe Oat the orifice opening will operate in at acceptable n=nerand, will not be detrimental to the downstrem properties. Village II, located directly east of City Park Avenue and a few hundred feet south of University Avenue. Dear Sirs: On August 16, 2002, we observed the site located at Big Horn Village IL We observed the site during a warm sunny day. The site had been final graded. In addition to our observation, RJL Surveying obtained spot elevations at numerous spots throughout the site. Please refer to the attached elevation_ sheet. Based on our observation and the attached surveyed information, the site appeared to drain away from each.of the buildings as.follows: Building 1-5: The area drained away from the buildings, typically as designed with a few changes. • The swales located east of the building (between Buildings 1 and 2) was not as deep as designed, however; we believe that it will still function.. Detention Pond A: • The Water Quality Plate were not installed properly. The grading of the pond appeared to generally conform with the grading plan. The emergency overflow has, been constructed. Please refer to the attached calculations and drawings. • The calculated detention volume are greater than the required amount. Detention Pond B: • The Orifice Plate were not installed properly — the opening in the plate is below the invert of the pipe thereby restricting the flow even more.. The grading of the pond appeared to generally conform with.the grading plan. Please refer to the attached calculations and drawings. • The calculated detention volume are greater than the required amount. Our recommendations were based on our observation on the date noted above.
