College Avenue Fort Collins, CO 80524 RE: Rigden Farm Filing Six Chase Drive —Stub Street Abandonment Glen: This letter is in direct response to your email dated December 16, 2014. The purpose of this letter is to serve as a guide and reminder of where all parties are in the process and ultimately resolve and finalize all issues in regards to the drainage issues surrounding Chase Drive. On August 27, 2014, Joe Schumacher and I met with you and the Engineering Staff to discuss the abandonment of the Chase Drive stub streets. At that meeting, Journey Homes agreed to present an alternate design to handle the required engineering and drainage concerns. To date, we have submitted several progressions of proposed designs for the abandonment of the two (2) stub streets from Chase Drive, east into Rigden Farm Filing Six. Specifically, those plans were prepared and submitted for review on, or near the following dates: • 8/28/2014 • 9/11/2014 • 9/22/2014 • 9/25/2014 • 9/26/2014 • 10/2/2014 On September 29, 2014, Sheri Langenberger sent an email stating that engineering had their comments addressed and were "...good to go..." (See attached). On September 29, 2014, you informed us that there were comments for review from Stormwater and we were to work with Wes Lamarque and/or Basil Hamdan to resolve. Following an email correspondence, Joe replied to Basil Hamden on October 2, 2014 (See attached). On October 06, 2014, Joe and Chuck Pelon of Crow Creek Construction, met with Basil Hamden and Dan Mogen onsite to discuss the 10/2/2014 proposed design. At that time, Dan, Basil and Joe agreed to construct the chase drains, curb/gutter and sidewalks as proposed. In addition, they agreed to delete the scour stop and add 2' wide "V" pans the entire length from the 4' chase drains to the existing FES's, with 4' x 2' transitions at the Chase drains and 2' x FES width at the FES's. At that time, no mention of a "re- 7251 West 20th Street • Building L, Suite 200 • Greeley, CO 80634 J and J (970) 352-7072 • Journey (970) 330-5480 • Fax (970) 330-5357 G:\Willowbrook\WBShare\Ridgen Farm\Chase Drive Letter.docx submittal" of the proposed design was discussed. As of 12/8/2014, we have begun demolition and construction of the stub street proposed design and have incorporated comments from Stormwater's onsite meeting. At this time, we have constructed the swale behind the neighboring properties to the west per the approved design, walked the final construction with Dan Mogen and agreed that the work has been completed. We do not intend to do any additional revisions at this time. In order to finalize all issues, I am requesting you respond to this letter in writing so that we may proceed and complete our commitment. Should you have any questions regarding the foregoing, please do not hesitate to contact me. Basil was the original Stormwater reviewer and is now the water quality coordinator. They both know our requirements and have been involved with this issue. The whole idea of eliminating the loft. sidewalk chases was to allow you to use that savings to do a better job downstream than just a riprap pad. If you remember right we talked about concrete pans.
