The purpose of this letter is to provide drainage certification for The Residence at Fort Collins.
Sear Brown 's survey crew visited the site on November 16 , 2001, to measure the rims and inverts
of the storm drainage manholes and inlets. Sear Brown also confirmed the installation of any
curb cuts, sidewalk chases, or other storm water structures for the site. The detention pond was
also surveyed for a volume calculation. This visit confirmed the elevations redlined on the
attached drawings.
All storm manholes and inlets are within construction tolerances. All curb cuts, sidewalk chases,
and trickle pans are properly installed.
The detention pond can detain 0.63 acre -feet of storm water, thereby exceeding the required
detention volume of 0.52 acre-feet. The outlet structure for the pond is installed correctly, but
does not have the stainless steel well screen installed. All swales meet the intent of the drainage
plan and are graded correctly.
It is important to note that the contractor will place $350 in escrow because the stainless steel
well screen is not installed.
Overall, the elevations observed for storm drainage features are within construction tolerances
and all storm related structures are installed correctly.
Therefore, the constructio~ of the storm drainage facilities , within the limits of this certification ,
meets the intent of the storm drainage design.
This certification is signed and stamped. By signing this letter, I attest that to the best of my
knowledge , the conditions of the site are as shown on the attached redlined photocopy. Failure to
properly disclose all known information could result in the rejection of this certification and
·prevent the release of any storm water utility holds on the Building Permit or Certificates of
Occupancy .
