Dan our current site planning calls for new drive approaches extending outward from the building 10 feet on
both sides of the building. This is what causes our new impervious total of 1159 square feet to exceed the 1000
SF rule. Since the linear foot of these drive pans is 83'+60'= 143 LF if we planned to build these drive pans 8'6"
extending out from the building instead of 10 feet out then the new impervious area would be 944.5 SF i.e.
Building addition 954 SF minus 9.5 SF of area less than before.
Can we make that change and not have to go thru other processes in the application approval and if so what
would we need to do next.

Rob,
As I mentioned on the phone the other day, there are different requirements depending on the size of the addition and
the impervious area that is proposed to be added . The simple grading plan provided is sufficient for additions of less
than 1000sf; however, additional requirements including PE prepared grading plan and drainage memo as well as water
quality treatment and water quantity detention are required for additions of more than 1000sf of impervious area . The
quality and quantity requirements can be waived if the final impervious percentage (including one half of the adjacent
streets or alleys) is shown to be less than the assumed impervious percentage shown in the master plan for th is area {I
can get you this number); however, the grading plan and drainage memo would still be required . Please let me know if
you have any questions about these requirements or would like to discuss further .

hello Dan per our conversation today we are removing concrete aprons , stoops and other misc.
impervious surface areas amounting to 1,391 square feet. the new replacement concrete aprons and
stoops are a little larger than the ones that are coming out and amount to a total of 1,596 square feet
the difference is an additional 205 square feet more than before. The new building addition is 954
square feet of roof (impervious surface). The new total additional impervious surface is 1,159
square feet.

Dan please find attached the simple grading plan I prepared for you. As we discussed Western
Constructors is renovating the existing building and adding on 924 square feet of new building and
replacing entrance pads and a small amount of existing concrete walks. The description of work
proposed is on the cover page G 1.1 and G 1.2 of the plans turned in for a permit. I shot some
elevations along E . Vine Dr. to check against this ALTA survey and checked the locations of
proposed downspouts to develop this plan. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to give us
a call.

Rob is needing to get an initial erosion inspection for B1506637. He was wondering whether that is scheduled
to help determine what needs to be installed or if that is scheduled after he has already installed erosion
control. I wasn 't sure on that; could you please clarify for us?
