RE: School District Construction Projects
Section 22-32-124 C.R.S.
Dear George,
This letter is in reference to our conversation yesterday
concerning school district construction projects. Please be
advised that after careful review by the City Attorneys office and
the Planning and Zoning Board, we believe that any project
involving the addition of new square footage to Poudre R-1
facilities within the city limits trigger the requirements of
Section 22-32-124 C.R.S. This will require review by the Planning
and Zoning Board of each project.
We realize that many of the facility additions are minor in nature
and will probably end up as consent agenda items.
Because of the importance of utility coordination, we suggest that
you schedule the projects for conceptual review as soon as they are
ready.
We appreciate your past cooperation with school facility planning
and continue to look forward to working with you and the district
staff.
