RE: Amendments to Ordinance No. 135, 1987
Item 13 of tonight's City Council Agenda includes the hearing and first
reading of Ordinance No. 135, 1987, annexing approximately 173.24 acres
known as the Blue Spruce Farms Annexation. One of the applicant/owners of
the area to be annexed, the State Board of Agriculture, would only agree to
participate in the annexation under certain conditions. Staff agreed to
these conditions in discussions about the annexation with the applicants,
however, the conditions were inadvertently left out of the initial version
of Ordinance No. 135.
Attached is an amended version of Ordinance No. 135, which includes a new
Section 3, containing the conditions of annexation requested by the State
Board of Agriculture. These conditions are similar to the conditions of
annexation which were agreed to by the City and State when the CSU Main
Campus was annexed.
