Here are the pole pictures I promised. This is a pole for a slightly different circumstance than the two new poles by Trilby Rd but the idea is the same with the conductor rising up along the pole and then three termination arms to allow connection with overhead conductor. This pole is in Longmont and is for a 115kV application and will not have any overhead conductor tension on the pole like the Trilby poles, which means it does not need as large a diameter. The Portner poles will be a 230kV application which means increased spacing for all the components and thus a taller structure that the one in the picture that has the cable installed. The pole on the right is a 230kV cable transition pole that will be completed this coming summer or fall that will have cable and is a dead end pole. Let me know if you have any questions.
