13. Comments: The Project is part of the CDOT and FHWA FEIS and associated
Programmatic Agreement (2011) and ROD 1-5 (2017). Several addendum and
overlapping cultural resources studies have occurred over this timeframe.

III. PROJECT LOCATION
Please attach a photocopy of USGS Quad. clearly showing the project location. The
Quad. should be clearly labeled with the Prime Meridian, Township, Range,
Section(s), Quad. map name, size, and date. Please do not reduce or enlarge the
photocopy.
14. Description: The Project is one mile south of the NI25 and East Prospect Road
interchange. The inventory area is west of the highway, adjacent to the frontage road.

19. Flora: Fallow agricultural field, short bunch grass, and forbs.
20. Soils/Geology: The majority of soils belong to the Larimer fine sandy loam NRCS
unit found on alluvial fans, terraces, and benches.

25. Known Cultural Resources - In the project area: A segment of the Sand Dike
Lateral (5LR.11410.1) crosses the southern end of the project area. The resource was
determined not eligible for the NRHP in 2007.
In the general region (summarize): There are 3 previously recorded resources
within 0.5 miles of the Project (see table).

VI. STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES
27. The inventory was conducted to identify and record cultural resources older than
50 years for compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.

31. Using your professional knowledge of the region, why are there none or very
limited cultural remains in the project area? Is there subsurface po tential?
Subsurface potential for buried artifacts is low. The Project area is within an
agricultural property where artifacts would likely be exposed by farming/agricultural
activities.
