NATIVE SEED MIX
Arkansas Valley Seed Mix "Low Grow Mix" AND "Low Grow Wildflower Mix"
e To be used in any area disturbed due to construction and within the natural habitat buffer zone.
e Pre -treat soil with appropriate herbicide prior to seeding. Wait appropriate time period for herbicide to
clear then seed. This will help reduce amount of weedy species that may grow in the area.
o Assuming broadcast seed method is to be used. Scarify soil first with hard rake, then lightly broadcast
the seed and rake in the seed in two directions.
Install seed NO further than''/.- Y2 " into soil.
o First season seeding rate minimum rate to be used:30lbs/acre for grass mix;12lbs/acre
wildflower mix. At least ONE more season of seeding will be needed; year two seeding
rate can be half that of year one.
