Re: Burns Ranch Emergency Access Road
I have reviewed the plans for this project with Mike Herzig of
the City Engineer Department and have prepared the following
comments:
1. Maintenance - General note 12 indicates that this access
road will not be maintained by the. City. This is
different from my original understanding. My
understanding now is that the City will be responsible
for only damage due to public use. The applicant must
provide the proper documents that show how this road is
maintained, including snow removal, what entity is
responsible for maintenance and how this is funded into
the future.
2. Engineer Details - It appears that most of the issues
noted in the letter of October 6th have been addressed.
The following details still need approval by the
Engineering Department.
Shoulders provided to maintain the edges of driving
surfaces.
Delineator posts must be on the edge of the
shoulder and not on the scope.
Some grading is shown outside the easement.
The connection to Overland Trail must meet
Engineering approval.
PROTECTING LIVES & PROPERTY
3. The drainage details are being reviewed by the. City storm
drainage personnel and we expect their comments soon.
