SUBJECT: PLATT PROPERTIES: BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN ACCESS
I have reviewed the Preliminary Site Plan and Plat for the above -
stated project and offer the following comments concerning j
bicycle/pedestrian access.
There has been concern by some individuals that bicycle/pedestrian ,
access to weber Junior High School and Johnson Elementary School
should occur through Courts "A-C". Providing paths through the
cul-de-sacs for bicycle/pedestrian access is not appropriate. This
type of access will only encourage children to cross Seneca Street
at mid -block to get to the schools.
Wakerobin Lane, Regency Drive, Seneca Street, and the future
Troutman Parkway are all sufficient size to provide on -street.
bicycle lanes. Crosswalks at the intersections of Regency and
Seneca and at Seneca and Troutman will be installed in conjunction
with this development.
