HomeMy WebLinkAboutROGERS PARK MINOR SUBDIVISION - 20 90 - CORRESPONDENCE - STAFF'S PROJECT COMMENTSServices Planning Department MEMORANDUM TO: Leslie Beckmann FROM: Kirsten Whetstone, City Planner F!`W RE: Rogers Park DATE: June 25, 1990 On Thursday June 14,1990 The Rogers Park Minor Subdivision Plat was given administrative approval with a condition, by Tom Peterson, Director of Planning. The following are conditions and comments which came up at the hearing` 1. The condition of approval is that a revised plat be prepared and reviewed by the Director of Planning. This revised plat should include an easement for the underground electrical conduit as well as anv other revisions requested by the Utility Coordinator. ? Mr. 1Vaync Jesscn, a property owner directly to the west of the Rogers Park site, commented at the hearing that he would like to underground his electric utility line and wondered whether he would be able to connect to the proposed line in Rogers Park. I spoke to Doug Martine about this and was told that Light and Power would look into this possibility. Light and Power does intend to underground everyone in the city in the next fifteen years or so. They have not yet prepared the construction design plans for the Rogers Park site but indicated that they would keep Mr. Jessen's request in mind. 3. There was also a request, from a neighbor who lives directly north of the Mulberry Street entrance, that the north entrance of the park not be directiy in line with her living room window. She felt that headlights at night would shine directly into her living room. 1 hope that you will review the site plan and with this neighbor's concerns in mind.. Leslie, I have not seen the revised plat yet. As soon as we get it and Kerrie reviews it, I will have Tom sign it and begin the filing process. Thanks for your patience. 281 N. College Avenue • P.O.
