Subject: Burns open space donation Sender: Mike POWERS / CFC52/01 TO: Tom PETERSON / CFC52/01 Part 1 TO: DISTRIBUTION Part 2 Dated: 06/04/91 at 1745. Contents: 2. As you all know, we have run into a few snags with the new RF zone. The zoning requires the developer to give open space. Burns is willing to donate the open space. As usual, there is no money added to accomodate this growth in open space._ In our meeting, Leslie presented this case very well. We are taking a package to council in July that, if approved, will "automatically" add money when new facilities or land areas are acquired. This open space is very desirable. It connects to Pineridge and it has lake frontage. I want us to accept this and will bet on being successful with council on this growth issue. However, if we lose with council, I would suggest we work through other mechanisms to accomodate the growth incurred by this zoning. I have talked with Kirsten and she will contact Eldon and Rex. They have agreed to eliminate most of the between houses land. I think our only remaining problem is maintenance of the sidewalk. I would suggest we treat residential sidewalks the same way residential streets are treated with respect to snow removal. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to think this through.
