Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522-0580 Dear Sherry: • The Child Care Resource and Referral program urges the City to support the zoning for a twelve -child family day care home at 3018 Cavalry Court. Coralie Jacobs, the applicant for this license, is currently a licensed child care provider with a six -child capacity day care home at this location. A twelve -:child licensed day care home is an option for parents that is not available in Fort Collins at the present time. (One license in the northwest part of the city is pending.) It has been shown that parental choice, with a variety of options, has a positive effect on the quality of child care in a community. Thus, the more choices of child care options we provide our working parents, the more we will be able to impact the ever-present problem of affordable and available quality child care in the city of Fort Collins. Sincerely, of Jodie Rankin, Coordinator Child Care Resource and Referral CC: City Planner 424 Pine Street # 104 320 East Third Street Fort Collins, Colorado 80524 Loveland, Colorado 80537 ale (303)484-1902 (303)663-2288
