Box 580 Fort Collins, CO 80522 Re: Saturn of Fort Collins, P.U.D. #0-58 Dear Steve, Here is our response to staff comments of 7-19-90: 1. South College Avenue R.O.W. now delineated on Site Plan. Note that 50 ft. utility easement was vacated in 1973. 2. Building Elevations attached herewith. Signage details described on Site Plan sheet, together with sizes of lettering, in accordance with Saturn manual. Canopy is redesigned to latest requirements from Saturn. See revised Site Plan and elevations. 3. The number of cars on display at the east side is reduced to six. The entry landscaping is unchanged. Two display pads are located to the west of the existing honey locust trees, the planting bed is modified and expanded to act as a foil for the Saturn 'models', and also incorporated the 'Saturn' monument sign. This arrangement does not interfere with sight distance for cars entering and exiting the parking lot. The four -car display remains as before. A sidewalk link from the front of the building to the display area is created. 4. Additional landscaping, low ground cover is indicated on plan tying in the monument sign, two new honey locusts, which replace 2 pine trees and one existing honey locust, and acting as a buffer between the grass area and the cars on display. 5. There will be two 'Saturn' monument signs, as shown on site plan. Saturn have agreed to these low ground signs, instead of the 'pylon' design. Olt Page 2 6. An access ramp is indicated at the entrance to the FFM parking lot, as requested at the 7-31-90 meeting. 7. Car display areas will be lit by ground mounted flood lights. Details being obtained from John Benson, and forwarded to you as soon as available. There will be lighting below the new canopy-soffite lighting or low bollard lighting. 8. Handicapped parking space is created at the east end of the parking area, which is restriped for a total of 10 cars. The sidewalk link to the 'east' car display, incorporates a handicap access ramp. This walk also picks up people walking across from the FFM parking lot. 9. Comment regarding utilities noted. There is no major landscaping in this area. However it is proposed to located the sign on College Avenue, in the same place as the 'Empire Savings' sign. 10. The building is sprinklered, as Note #1. 11. Motorcycles will be parked in the island opposite the entrance, please refer to Site Plan. Bicycle parking was considered not essential at the 7-31-90 meeting with staff. 12. Note #11 added, refers to irrigation and maintenance of landscaping on S. College Ave. 13. Dick Rutherford, of Stewart & Associates, has responded to Storm Drainage comments regarding surface water run-off, and erosion control. The Drainage Report and Plan have been revised with contours, as requested. Both types of mountings are fully adjustable through 1800, with deep -gripping serrated cast - in teeth to assure a secure aiming "fix," regardless of wind or vibration. Universal Upper Section: Massive aluminum die casting, fully gas- keted and bolted to fixture housing.
