RE: Pedersen Toyota Volvo Saab P.U.D.
Dear Warren:
Dana WLockwood
Architect
Thank you for speaking with me over the phone today
concerning the above P.U.D. project. The following is a
confirmation of our discussion:
1. Concerning the red painted curb and signage
(identifying fire lanes) requested for the project on
the north -south lanes on the east and west sides of the
building: It was our concern that a red painted curb on
the east (front) of the building would be aesthetically
negative, but could be accommodated on the west side of
the building. You stated that if "good" signage
identifying the fire lane is provided, the red painted
curb could be eliminated on the east side of the
building.
2. Concerning the required width to be maintained for a
fire lane: Specifically, concerning the north -south
drive immediately west of the building: If the Owner
were to park a car(s) on one side of this 25' drive,
would it interfere with the fire lane?-Youstated-that
the standard width for a fire lane is 20'. Also, you
stated, in this situation only one side of this drive
is required to be painted and signed as a fire lane, it
would not be improper for the opposite side of the
drive (one side only) to be used for parking.
Again, thank you for addressing my questions. Please let me
know if I have misstated anything.
