Subject: TIS -Traffic Operations Facility
Louise:
Based on the Larimer County Urban Area Street Standards, Chapter 4, the Traffic Impact Study for the
Traffic Operations Facility will be waived.
This decision is based on the following:
1. Nine of the employees that will be housed at the site are currently working in the Streets building and
therefore, no new trips will be produced.
2. Seven employees will be working in the new facility that are currently working at our Wood Street
facility. There normal working hours are from 7:00 am - 3:OOpm, so new new peak hour trips are being
produced. Additionally, those folks from Wood Street drive to the current site every morning to get mail,
job assignments, etc... The result will actually reduce the number of peak hour trips to the site.
3. Bike and pedestrian facilities will be constructed adjacent to the site according to the city code.
4. No new bike or ped trips are expected to be generated by the facility.
5. There will be no access requested to the public street system.
6. There are no intersections in the immediate area that will be affected by this development that are
experiencing operational or safety problems.
Please let me know if additional information will be required.
