Dear Ms. Whetstone:
We have reviewed the Split Rail Minor Subdivision, and we have the
following comments:
Even though the property is undergoing a change in use, the change
will apparently not increase the volume of traffic to the property.. The
change will probably cause an overall decrease in traffic. Since there
will not be a traffic increase of 20%, conformance to the Access Code will
not be required. Any increase in number of residents over the maximum
of 40 should require a new evaluation of the .property.
The site plan shows landscaping adjacent to the accesses. We allow
- .---such- landscaping pr-ovi.ded_ that it is mai ntai ned by the private property
owner, does not impair sight distance at any highway access, does —not —present
a safety hazard, and would not unreasonably conflict with future highway
expansion.
Thank you for the opportunity to review this proposal. Please contact
me at 350-2163 if you have any questions.
Very truly yours,
Evan A. Hooper,/ Jr.
