There are (8) trees on the site and (2) significant trees are proposed to be removed, (1) insignificant tree is proposed to be removed and (1) small tree is proposed to be transplanted on site. The reason for removal of trees 7 and 8 is due to the conflict with the new required sidewalk on the west of the property. It is required to provide a 5 foot walk to connect the existing sidewalks. The critical root zone of trees 7 and 8 are in direct conflict with the area required for the new sidewalk. These trees are also 6” to a foot above where the existing curb sits and where the sidewalk will be added. The trees will be negatively impacted if they are kept. We intended to remove trees 4 and 5, which do not require mitigation. Trees 7 and 8 require (3) trees a piece if removed. We propose transplanting tree 4 and adding (5) new fastigate trees on the west side of the property. Due to limited space on the site, there is only room to transplant one of the two crabapples being removed.
