Dear Sir:
Reference Potts PUD - Preliminary Hearing #6-92
I received your notification of a,public hearing for Monday
April 27, 1992 on the referenced project.
---- I have to be out-of—state due to a family illness and will be
unable to attend this meeting. Otherwise I would certainly
attend, even though my past experiences with proposed apartment
complexes has been a waste of my time to attend the hearings.
I am most definitely concerned about the parking problems in
the entire area. With the opening this summer of the-138'.units
west of Constitution in Fort Ram Village with very limited (if
any) parking spaces allowed these tenants will be scrambling to
find any parking spaces within several blocks of these apartments.
Already it is never possible to park in front of my own property
on the street at any time.
Where are all these people going to park: Needless to say with
student tenants and young working people they are at least
doubling up in the apartments due to the high rent and sometimes
3-4 people are in two -bedroom apartments and they at least have
one car per person.
I don't understand why the City Planning Office is allowing all
the apartments to be built in this area and not requiring
a parking place for each person.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I know it will make
no difference in the final decision but at least I let my
feelings be known.
Sincerely,
MARILYN ARNOLD MARILYN ARNOLD
