Gentlemen:
This is the storm drainage report for the Strobel Minor Subdivision
situate in the Northwest a of Section 33, Township 6 North, Range 68 West
of the 6th P.M. The address is 3808 South County Road 9. The site is a
subdivision of Lot 1 of the Strobel M.R.D. that was developed in Larimer
County. The area of the Minor Subdivision is 5.04 acres, and it is proposed
to create three lots. There is an existing residence on Lot 1 of the Strobel
Minor Subdivision. The site is in the Fox Meadows Drainage Master Plan.
The site slopes at an approximate grade of 0.40% from West to East or, in
other words, from County Road 9 to the Fossil Creek Reservoir Inlet Ditch.
The Fox Meadows Drainage Master Plan states that there is very little
risk that the Fossil Creek Inlet ditch will overtop due to the low density
of the area and the flat slopes of the ground. The net density of this Minor
Subdivision is only 0.6 units per acre.
Because of the lack of existing swales downstream of the Minor
Subdivision, it has been decided to 'provide onsite detention for Lots 2 and
3 at the Northeast corner of Lot 2. Runoff from Lot 1 is being considered
historic and, therefore, is not included in the detention calculations.
The allowable outlet rate is 0.71 c.f.s., and the detention volume
required is 8388 cubic feet. A 15—inch A.D.S. outlet pipe will be used with
a restriction plate with a 422%412z" opening.
