Dear Dr. Graul:
The Fort Collins Natural Resource Division recently requested
Division of Wildlife comments on the proposed Fossil Creek Estates
P.U.D., which is located on the west side.of South Shield Street,
and on the south side of the Cathy Fromme Natural Area (this is
just west and south of the intersection of South Shields street and
Scenic drive).
The possibility of this development disturbing the current
level of use of the Cathy Fromme Prairie by birds of prey has
become an issue in the review of this project, and opinions have
been requested from various CDOW staff by a number of individuals,
both from City staff and the neighborhood. Therefore, to avoid
confusion, we would like to have an official opinion from your
office that represents the overall evaluation of the impacts of the
proposed development by the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
We would request that you provide us with this opinion as soon
as your busy schedule will accommodate. If you have questions,
