RE: Plumbing Water Taps
Project: 6301 College TH
Dear Joey,
We have reviewed the proposed tap sizes provided on the civil drawing and
they align with the current minimum requirements in the plumbing calculations.
Per the building code we will upsize the service line after the meter to meet IPC
Appendix E as noted on the plumbing plans.
The fire suppression design is a deferred submittal to be designed by a registered
engineer. The engineer will be required to review the combined tap size, city
pressure, and sizes noted on the civil and plumbing drawings. The fire
suppression engineer shall notify plumbing and civil engineers of any design
changes required for their system once designed.
• 2 unit buildings - 1” tap & meter
• 3 unit buildings - 1” tap & meter
• 4 unit buildings - 1.5” tap & meter
• Amenity Building & Maintenance Garage – 2” tap & meter
Sincerely,
Jeff Given, P.E.
