The following calculations are based on AWWA M22 Design Manual, 2021 International Plumbing
Code, and local jurisdiction code amendments.
Below is a list of the plumbing fixtures within the scope of this project:
One (1) Break Sink
One (1) Mop Sink
Two (2) Public Lavatories
Two (2) Public Water Closets with Flush Valves
One (1) Drinking Fountain
Based on Tables E103.3(2) & E103.3(3) of the 2021 International Plumbing Code,
Total Water Supply Fixture Units: 28 WSFU
Peak Water Supply Demand: 25 GPM
*Estimated Continuous Flow: 20 GPM
*Fixtures are in back-of-house area, and are not intended to be used often. As such, the estimated
continuous flow is based on the flowrate of one water closet.
Based on Table E104.1 of the 2021 International Plumbing Code, and the information noted above,
this site will require a 1” min. water meter and service line with a 1-1/2” feed from the meter to the
building.
