Existing Tree Removal Feasibility Letter This letter is intended to supplement the Mitigation Plan included in the VOA Switchgrass Crossing BDR. There are five (5) species of trees on site including: Cottonwood, Rocky Mountain Juniper, Hackberry, Crabapple, and Green Ash. As depicted on the mitigation plan, a total of thirty-six (36) trees are to be removed and six (6) to remain. The reason for tree removal is due to the proposed development of VOA Switchgrass Crossing Senior Living. The following trees are proposed to be removed: Trees 1, 5-28, 30-42, and 45 (as associated with the Tree Mitigation List on the Tree Mitigation Plan). Further explanation for the removal of these trees is found below. Tree #: 1 A cottonwood in fair- condition to be removed due to conflicts with R.O.W. improvements. 5 A cottonwood in fair condition to be removed due to site drainage improvements. 6 A Juniper in fair condition to be removed due to the location of the proposed site parking, and grading near the property line. 7 A Juniper in fair condition to be removed due to the location of the proposed site parking, and grading near the property line. 8 A Juniper in fair condition to be removed due to the location of the proposed site parking, and grading near the property line. 9 A Juniper in fair condition to be removed due to the location of the proposed site parking, and grading near the property line. 10 A Juniper in fair- condition to be removed due to the location of the proposed site parking, and grading near the property line. A more detailed depiction of the location of trees which are being removed in relation to the proposed site plan can be found on the Mitigation Plan included in this submittal. To mitigate for the removed trees which have been deemed to provide significant value by the City Forester, replacement trees will be provided at the increased size per Division 5.7.1 (F)(1) of the Fort Collins Land Use Code.
