Pursuant to 5.2.1 of the City’s Land Use Code, the City wants to support the development of deed-
restricted, affordable housing for low and moderate-income households. The City aims to offer
affordable housing incentives that provide more flexibility for different types of development.
Minimum Requirements for Affordable Housing in a Development are:
For rental homes
• 20% of the units must be affordable to households earning 80% or less of the area’s median
income (AMI), or
• 10% of the units must be affordable to households earning 60% or less of the AMI.
For homes that are for sale
• 20% of the units must be affordable to households earning 100% or less of the AMI, or
• 10% of the units must be affordable to households earning 80% or less of the AMI.

Affidavit for Affordable Housing Certification
To receive an Affordable Housing Certification Letter, as required by the Land Use Code, the
following information must be provided:
Housing Tenure
Affordability Restriction
A Covenant and/or deed restriction of a minimum of 60 years must be recorded prior to the
issuance of a building permit. Please provide a copy of document that has been or will be
recorded.

Timing of Development
Construction of the affordable housing units must be completed either before the market-rate
units or at the same time, based on a fair ratio. Please describe your construction schedule:

Annual Reporting
By signing this Affidavit, the applicant agrees to provide yearly reports, including but not limited
to occupancy, demographics, and rent. The first report must be submitted within 30 days after
the Certificate Of Occupancy is issued.
