The City aims to offer affordable housing incentives that provide more flexibility for different types of development. Minimum Requirements for Affordable Housing in a Development are: For rental homes • 20% of the units must be affordable to households earning 80% or less of the area’s median income (AMI), or • 10% of the units must be affordable to households earning 60% or less of the AMI. For homes that are for sale • 20% of the units must be affordable to households earning 100% or less of the AMI, or • 10% of the units must be affordable to households earning 80% or less of the AMI. Developer Incentives │Affidavit March 2024 | 2 Affidavit for Affordable Housing Certification To receive an Affordable Housing Certification Letter, as required by the Land Use Code, the following information must be provided: Housing Tenure Affordability Restriction A Covenant and/or deed restriction of a minimum of 60 years must be recorded prior to the issuance of a building permit. Please provide a copy of document that has been or will be recorded. Term of Affordability: _________________________________________________________ Timing of Development Construction of the affordable housing units must be completed either before the market-rate units or at the same time, based on a fair ratio.
