A "CONCEPTUAL" SUGGESTION FOR INCORPORATING THE
"SIGN DESIGN GUIDELINES" INTO THE SIGN CODE

DIVISION 2 - ADMINISTRATION
Sec. 29-576 Permit required: exception.
(a ) ( leave as is )
( b ) Master Sign Plan. A master plan sign plan shall be required
for any commercial multi-tenant land use located on a Planned
Unit Development plan as defined, processed and approved
according to Sec. 29-526, provided, however that said plan shall
not under any circumstances be required for development in the HB
zone. The purpose of the master sign plan is to establish
general sign design and location parameters while allowing
sufficient flexibility to permit detailed sign design at the time
of construction.
The master sign plan will be reviewed on the basis of the
specific design standards described in section 29--
The master sign plan shall be submitted together with the
application for preliminary planned unit development approval ,
and follow the same review and approval process outlined for
preliminary plans. A permit for construction of a sign will not
be issued until time as the master sign plan has been submitted
and approved by the Planning and Zoning Board. The requirements
for master sign plan submittal is described in Sec. 29-526.

conformance with master sign plan, if any.

Sec. 29-593 Limitations for permitted uses in the non-
residential districts.
Signs in the BP, BL, BG, RC, C, IL, EP, IG and IP Districts or
any use in the HB District shall be limited to the following:

Sec. 29-594 Limitations for non-residential uses in planned unit
developments.
The following limitations shall apply to all commercial uses in
the RL, RLP, RLM, RH, RP, RMP, ML, MM, BL or BP, or any other
areas of the City if such areas are subject to the zoning
condition that no development be approved unless processed as a
planned unit development , provided, however that said
requirements shall not under any circumstances apply to
development in the H8 zone.

OTHER RELATED CODE CHANGES:
