BOX 469 FORT COLUNS� CO B0522 RE: Twenty-three Acre Annexation and Rezoning Dear Devid: Recently, we sent a rezoning petition to Ken Dueck for signature so as to submit a change in zoning designation to the Planni_ng and Zoning Board on the twenty-three (23) acre parcel recently approved for annexation. The petition requests a change in zoning designation from T-Transition to HB Highway Business with a PUD condition. As you may recall, the Planning and Zoning Board approved the annexation of property into the City at their meeting of March 23. At that time the Planni.ng and Zoning Board authorized a T-Transition Zoning designation for the prope:rty; however, upon pursuing separate discussions with City staff, it was decided that a Highway Business designation with a PUD condition wou].d better meet the needs of the development. Staff wi11 support the request for the change in zoning designation at the Planning and Zoning meeting of May 18. In the meantime, the City staff has scheduled the annexation request (approved by Planning and Zoning Board on March 23, 1987) to go before the City Counc.il at the Council meetings of April 21 and May 5, 1987. Assuming that the City Council approves the request for annexation on Second Reading May 5, City staff will then schedule the inclusi.on of the twenty-three (23) acre parcel within SID boundaries at the Council Meeting of May 19, 1987. The rezoning issue will then be considered by Council at their June 16th meeting. These actions will require two readings before the City Council so the twenty-three (23) acres will not officially be a part of the SIll or have Highway Business zoning clesignation until July of 1987. �� � � David Moore. May 5, 1987 Second Reading and Council consideration of annexation with T-Transition Zoning. May 18, 1987 Planning and Zoning Board considers rezoning to highway business clesignation. May 19, 1987 First Reading and Council consideration of inclusion of annexed parcel into SID boundaries. June 16, 1987 Second Reading and Council consideration of inclusion of annexed parcel into SID boundaries. First Reading and Council consideration of rezoning to highway business zoning designation. July 7, 1987 Second Reading and Council consideration of rezoning to highway bwsiness zoning designation.
