RE: The Lodge at Miramont Preliminary P.U.D.
Dear Frank:
On Thursday, August 17, 2000, at the regular meeting of the City of Fort Collins
Planning and Zoning Board, the Board voted 6— 0 to approve The Lodge at Miraniont,
Preliminary P:U:D., #54-87AP, subject to removina the perimeter fence from P.U.D. so
as to not grant the fence any expression of Preliminary approval.
During its deliberations, the Board indicated a concern about the excessive use of fencing
on the north, east and south sides of the project. The concern is that the project has a
"gated community" appearance: The Board eYtended an informal invitation to the
applicant and eonsulting team to explore feneing or other design options that could
satisfy A_ll Development Criterion A-2.2 of the Land Development Guidance System.
Such options may be considered at the time of Final P.U.D.
Sincerely'
