Our errtire neighborhood was inyited to two information meetings hosted bythe City's horticulturist, Tim Clark. In both instances, the presentations were precise, organized and very helpful for the homeowners to visualize the horticultural center plan. We collectively had concems over the proposed location of the parking lot, adjaceat our homes. Oth.e.r uses cbnsidered ``utilit}' to the site were also _s.ituated near the parking lot. After hearing our concerns, Mr: Clark went "back to the drawing board." He invited our i Executive Board to attend another meeting to review a new plan for the center. We are overjoyed! - A new design with the parking lot located adjacent Centre Avenue was presented. This parking lot location .makes sense to allow the federal research building's parking lot to be close by proyiding a smooth and convenient access for overtlow parlang: The parlang lot move also improves pedesirian and bicycle safery for those entering from the Spring Creek bike trail. The homeowners feel the redesign of the site moving the parking lot closer to Centre Avenue is a more compatible location; illiminates unwanted parking on Gilgalad Way, offers less noise from bus and car traffic, and more privacy for the homeowners located closest to the horticultural center. We are pleased with the present design of the horticultural center and for the quick response to our . concerns by Mr: Clark We are impressed with the action of the City to accommodate our subdivision and feel this citizen response process to be very effective in communicaring with the vatious departments imolved with fhe horticultural center. I hope you share our enthusiasm with the cenceptual design of the horticultural center and with the cooperative efforts of yqui employee, Jim Clark. Sincerely, c Nancy Oaello President
