HomeMy WebLinkAboutOASIS ON OLIVE - PDP - PDP180003 - CORRESPONDENCE - STORMWATER-RELATED DOCUMENTSPete Wray From: Shane Boyle Sent Thursday, May 24, 2018 11:08 AM To: Tom Leeson; Wes Lamarque; Pete Wray; Karen McWilliams Subject: Oasis on Olive LID All, Per the meeting regarding placement of LID at the proposed Oasis development, here are the bullet points from Stormwater: 1. In this case, the minimal private drives do not have a large impact on storm water. The City will support a. variance to the pervious pavement portion of the LID requirement by waiving the pervious paver requirement and allow the development to treat 50% of the site's impervious area with LID and no pervious pavers. 2. The City feels the rain garden as proposed could be eliminated and other options for LID treatment could be implemented. One option the City feels would work well on this site are additional infiltration planters on the north and east sides of the building to capture ad treat roof drainage similar to what is currently proposed on the west side of the building. Other possible LID measures may be possible and the City is willing to entertain other LID options that are distributed through the site so as not to conflict with the placement and function of the historic rose garden. 3. Stormwater Staff is fine with proceeding to hearing with a condition as follows: LID design for the site can be completed at Final Design with the stipulation that the site provide treatment of 50% of the proposed impervious area with an approved and appropriately sized Low Impact Development method that does not impair the location or function of the historic rose garden. Please let Wes or me know if you have any additional questions or need clarification. Also, this is our 15t attempt at the Condition but it probably does not follow the typical format for a P&Z Condition of Approval so feel free to wordsmith as necessary.
