Of these trees, approximately xx deciduous and xx evergreen can be transplanted immediately to their new ultimate location without off -site storage. Trees to be transplanted and stored off -site shall be stored within the ground. Above -ground storage is not allowed. For all transplanted trees, and especially those trees that are to be temporarily stored offsite, the developer shall provide the necessary watering, fertilization, insect and disease monitoring, and pruning to ensure their survivability. This level of care must be extended to cover a one year time period beginning on March 1, 2004 and ending on February 28, 2005 After this time frame, the normal replacement requirement provided by Section 3.2.1(F) of the Land Use Code shall apply. Any transplanted tree that is lost at any time due to transplanting problems, disease, degraded condition, or other various reasons, shall be mitigated and replaced to the following minimum specifications in accordance with Section 3.2.1(F): Deciduous shade tree 3 inches caliper Ornamental 2.5 inches caliper Evergreen 8 feet in height The root ball size of all transplanted trees shall be of an adequate dimension to ensure survivability and not less than American Association of Nurseryman standards. Trees shall only be transplanted during the dormant season.
