The following tables and variables have been used within calculations: Pressure available at utility main = 110 psi peak day per Wes at the City. The chart below provides the pressure and flow calculations for the building and all calculations used are based on the AWWA M22 design manual: Multifamily Page 2 of 2 Below is a breakdown of the water fixture units: The total fixtures units are 2127, which translates to 150 gpm. Although a 2” meter can handle the flow of 150 gpm, the building height and internal losses prove to be too much for the 2” setup. Increasing to a 3” tap and service provides additional pressure to give us enough capacity for the system. The proposed 3” water service, tap & meter, is deemed to be acceptable by this office.
