HomeMy WebLinkAboutBOHLENDER FUNERAL CHAPEL - FDP230011 - SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS - ROUND 1 - TREE MANAGEMENT PLAN TO: City of Fort Collins Forestry Department DATE: March 22, 2023 RE: Tree Removal Feasibility Letter for Bohlender Funeral Chapel The following trees are proposed to be removed and mitigated at the Bohlender Funeral Chapel property located at 3350 Eastbrook Drive. The site will include 14 mitigation trees as required by the City Forester and Fort Collins Municipal Code. We will be planting 14 new trees to count towards mitigation. Please refer to plant schedule that indicate which trees are mitigation trees. Please refer to the existing tree inventory on landscape sheet LS2 that corresponds to this list. 1. Tree ID #6 - Hybrid Cottonwood (46”) – Remove, Mitigation Required: 3.5, fair condition. This tree is proposed for removal due to its health condition. We believe it is prone to major breakage in high wind conditions. 2. Tree ID #7 – Bradford Pear (12”) – Remove, Mitigation Required: 1.5, fair minus condition. This tree is proposed for removal due to construction and grading of new sidewalk alignment. 3. Tree ID #8 – Pinyon Pine (11”) – Remove, Mitigation Required: 1.5, fair condition. This tree is proposed for removal due to new planting beds around the building. We will be incorporating low-water use plantings and this tree will not survive. 4. Tree ID #10 – Lodgepole Pine (2-stem, 8”,6”) – Remove, Mitigation Required: 1.5, fair minus condition. This tree is proposed for removal due to location of new patio. 5. Tree ID #11 – Hybrid Cottonwood (34”) – Remove, Mitigation Required: 3, fair condition. This tree is proposed for removal due to its health condition. We believe it is prone to major breakage in high wind conditions. 6. Tree ID #12 – Pinyon Pine (2-stem, 7”,7”) – Remove, Mitigation Required: 1.5, fair condition. This tree is proposed for removal due to new planting beds around the building. We will be incorporating low-water use plantings and this tree will not survive. 7. Tree ID #29 – Pinyon Pine (2-stem, 3”,8”) – Remove, Mitigation Required: 1.5, fair condition. This tree is proposed for removal due to new planting beds around the building.
