3. THE OWNER SHALL COORDINATE AND SECURE AN AGREEMENT FOR ACCESS TO SITE CONSTRUCTION, STAGING AREA, AND STORAGE AREAS.
CONTRACTOR
1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT AND OWNER, IN WRITING, AND SHALL HAVE RESOLVED AND DOCUMENTED, IN
WRITING, PRIOR TO CONTINUING WITH THE WORK IN QUESTION IF THERE ARE:
A. ANY ERRORS, OMISSIONS, DISCREPANCIES, CONFLICTS, OR INCONSISTENCIES ON THESE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
B. ANY VARIATION OR AMBIGUITIES BETWEEN THESE DRAWINGS AND ACTUAL SITE AND CONSTRUCTION CONDITIONS AND/OR
REQUIREMENTS.
C. DISCREPANCIES AND/OR UNCERTAINTIES AS TO WHAT MATERIAL OR PRODUCT IS TO BE USED.
2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT RELY SOLELY ON THE ELECTRONIC VERSIONS OF THE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND DATA FILES THAT ARE
OBTAINED FROM THE DESIGNERS, BUT SHALL VERIFY THE LOCATION OF PROJECT FEATURE DIMENSIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HARD

A. COORDINATION OF CONSTRUCTION MEANS, METHODS, TECHNIQUES, SEQUENCES, AND PROCEDURES REQUIRED FOR SAFE EXECUTION
OF EFFICIENT AND ORDERLY INSTALLATION OF EACH PART OF WORK TO BE COMPLETED.
B. INITIATING, MAINTAINING, AND SUPERVISING ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND PROGRAMS IN CONNECTION WITH THE WORK.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL:
A. OBTAIN AND PAY FOR ALL OTHER PERMITS, CERTIFICATIONS AND APPROVALS REQUIRED IN CONNECTION WITH ALL WORK UNDER
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS THAT ARE NOT PROVIDED BY THE OWNER.

2. CUT A HEAD FLAP AT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE TO EXPOSE 8"
OF SHEATHING TO ALLOW FOR HEAD FLASHING
INSTALLATION.
STEP 3:
1. FOLD SIDE FLAPS INTO ROUGH OPENING AND SECURE TO
INSIDE WALL WITH TAPE
STEP 4:
1. FLIP THE CUT HEAD FLAP UPWARD TO EXPOSE THE
SHEATHING AND TEMPORARILY SECURE WITH TAPE
2. INSTALL SILL FLASHING. ALIGN FLASHING WITH THE
INTERIOR EDGE OF SILL AND INSTALL INTO ROUGH
OPENING ACROSS SILL AND UP JAMBS (6" MIN.)
3. APPLY WORKING FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE SILL
TOWARDS THE SIDES. SECURE FLASHING TIGHTLY INTO
THE CORNERS BY FIRST WORKING IN ALONG THE SILL
BEFORE ADHERING UP THE JAMBS.
4. DO NOT STRETCH MATERIAL ALONG THE SILL OR JAMBS
STEP 5:
1. APPLY SELF-ADHERED MEMBRANE FLASHING AT
BOTTOM CORNERS AND ADHERE ONTO EXTERIOR FACE
OF WALL. COVERAGE SHOULD BE 2"-3" ONTO FACE OF
THE WALL.
2. PRESS SILL FLASHING W/ FIRMHAND. PRESSURE OR J-
ROLLER TO ENSURE FULL ADHESION ON ALL SURFACES.
3. APPLY CONTINUOUS SEALANT ON HEAD AND JAMB OF
ROUGH OPENING.
4. INSTALL WINDOW ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER'S
INSTRUCTIONS.
STEP 6:
1. APPLY HEAD FLASHING. HEAD FLASHING TO EXTEND
BEYOND OUTER EDGES OF JAMB FLASHING.
2. REMOVE RELEASE PAPER AND INSTALL COMPLETELY
COVERING WINDOW MOUNTING FLANGE AND ADHERING
TO THE EXPOSED SHEATHING.
STEP 7:
1. FLIP DOWN UPPER FLAP OVER HEAD FLASHING.
2. TAPE ALL CUTS IN AIR / MOISTURE BARRIER AND TAPE
ACROSS HEAD OF THE WINDOW.
STEP 8:
1. INSTALL SEALANT AND BACKER ROD AS NECESSARY
AROUND THE WINDOW OPENING AT THE INTERIOR. IF
FOAM IS USED AT THE SILL, RECOMMENDED SEALANT
SHOULD BE USED AT THE SILL AREA BEHIND THE FOAM
TO ENSURE A PROPER WATER SEAL.
