Boxelder Sanitation District (BSD) has reviewed the ODP Amendment identified as:
Rudolph Farms Utility Plans dated January 18, 2023
The District hereby advises as follows:
There is no objection to this proposal.
Responses required to comments below.
Comments:
1) Sheet SS1 - The proposed sewers will cross the City of Greeley’s 60-inch waterline
and the Like Canal and Timnath Reservoir Inlet Canal. The crossings will require
coordination and permits or agreements with Greeley and the ditch companies.
Applicant shall coordinate with agencies and pay for all costs associated with permits
and agreements. All permanent permits and agreements shall be in the name of
Boxelder Sanitation District.
a. Provide detailed information of design of casing pipes include methods of
construction (open cut, bore), casing material design, groundwater removal,
trench stability.
b. District is concerned the open cut construction for the sewer will create
possible settlement problems under the box culverts and Greeley waterline.
This needs to be addressed with more information on construction methods.
The agreements will need indemnification provisions the protect the District in
the future for any damages that could occur to the culverts and waterline.
2) Sheet SS4 – The 15-inch sewer has 0.1 ft drop across manholes. Is this needed to
get 3.0 below the Greeley line and is this required. Can the minimum under Greeley
be 18-inches? Has Greeley weighed in on this and other concerns in items 1 and 3.
