I received your letter regarding the February 17 neighborhood meeting
to discuss the proposed auto lubrication and car wash facility on
Lemay Avenue.
We are quite disappointed with this proposal as we feel it is vastly
our, of character for Lemay Avenue. If we follow Lemay Avenue south from
Elizabeth Street, the character has developed into a healthy mix of
residential and for the most part well -planned, compatible commercial
use. As you know, Lemay Avenue south of Horsetooth and now south of
Harmony Road has been planned and designed to maintain that character.
We believe that the Harmony Market commercial development's intensity
warrants a buffering on its Lemay side by such projects as the bank
now proposed on the corner of Harmony and Lemay and certainly not
by harsh, unaesthetic uses as are proposed.
Ted, we will look forward to seeing you at the neighborhood meeting.
