Mr . Ted Shepard, Planning Director
City of Fort Collins Planning Department
P. 0. Box 580
Fort Collins , CO 80522
RE: ARAPAHOE FARMS
Dear Ted,
The proposed master utility plan for the Arapahoe Farm PUD
indicates that a section of an 8" water line owned by the Fort
Collins-Loveland Water District is to be relocated from our
easement into the public right-of-way. Also , it appears that a few
of the proposed lots will also encroach into our utility easement
for this line . Please be advised that the Water District has not ,
at this time , approved any relocation of our facilities nor have
we authorized any intrusion into the pipeline utility easement .
As you know, the District is having sensitive discussions with G.
T. Land for the purchase of a pump station site in the Northwest
corner of this development . Although the pipe relocation and the
pump station site are two separate issues , they are strategically
linked to the negotiations that are taking place for the land
purchase. Therefore, until the site issue is resolved , the
relocation of our line remains an unsettled matter.
We would appreciate you sharing our views with the appropriate City
Commission which is responsible for approving the project . Please
feel free to call me if additional information is required.
Sincerely,
-3
Michael DiTullio
District Manager
