Western Heritage Property Development, Inc. Rezoning Petition July 16,1998 Reason for Request The applicant, Western Heritage Property Development, Inc. is requesting a rezoning on a portion of it's 75 acre parcel at the northeast corner of East Vine and I-25. The current zoning of the parcel is I -Industrial and the request is to rezone approximately 405 acres of the eastern portion of the site to LMN. Western Heritage will propose to develop a retirement community of this property consisting of rental apartments and two family homes as well as a community center, a church and open space if the rezoning is approved. The applicant believes the rezoning is justified based upon the attached "Justification for Rezoning7'. Requested Zoning Classification The applicant is requesting that the property be rezoned from I -Industrial to LMN-Low Density, Mixed Use Neighborhood No additional conditions are proposed for the property. Proposed Map Amendments The zoning map will be amended per the enclosed legal description if the request is approved - Proposed Teat Amendments The applicant is not proposing any Text Amendments to the Land Use Code with this petition
